GoPro (Forcite)

· July 1, 2024 ·

Founded in 2013 following a motorcycle accident involving Cofounder and CEO Alfred Boyadgis, Forcite aims to provide a safer, more dynamic riding experience with the Forcite MK1S tech-enabled motorcycle helmet.

After a decade of successful product sales and development, Forcite Helmet Systems was acquired by GoPro, Inc. in early 2024.

GoPro plans to leverage its global market presence – particularly in motorsports – and technical capabilities, in combination with Forcite’s expertise in tech-enabled helmets to bring enhanced performance and safety to various types of helmets, starting with motorcycle helmets. GoPro also intends to partner with leading helmet brands as an OEM supplier to help them tech-enable their own premium helmet lines.

GoPro’s involvement in the Australian Motorsport Innovation Precinct at Sydney Motorsport Park provides an exciting location to test new technologies.

Australian Traffic Network (ATN)

· July 3, 2022 ·

ATN is the Australian Traffic Network, established in Australia in 1997 as the founding business in the Global Traffic Network group, comprising Australia, Brazil and the United Kingdom. Its operations are ground studio and manned helicopter radio and television traffic broadcasting, operating in all the major capital cities of Australia.

From its inception, ATN has needed to develop, modify or adapt systems, ranging from airborne electronic newsgathering systems in the helicopters to bespoke mission-critical software and hard ware solutions for our multi-station, national broadcasting requirements. It has become part of their DNA to be a technology innovator with full-time engineering and software developers on staff.

ATN has launched a drone swarm-light show operation, with the same team that launched, and still runs, The Australian Traffic Network today. The primary mission for the drone light shows is for the entertainment and commercial advertising business.

They fully expect to become innovators in this field and develop new software and firmware for flight operations, data and RF (radio frequency) systems for telemetry and control, along with integrating unique battery chemistry and systems to enhance drone light show performance and operation.
