Australian Traffic Network (ATN)

· July 3, 2022 ·

ATN is the Australian Traffic Network, established in Australia in 1997 as the founding business in the Global Traffic Network group, comprising Australia, Brazil and the United Kingdom. Its operations are ground studio and manned helicopter radio and television traffic broadcasting, operating in all the major capital cities of Australia.

From its inception, ATN has needed to develop, modify or adapt systems, ranging from airborne electronic newsgathering systems in the helicopters to bespoke mission-critical software and hard ware solutions for our multi-station, national broadcasting requirements. It has become part of their DNA to be a technology innovator with full-time engineering and software developers on staff.

ATN has launched a drone swarm-light show operation, with the same team that launched, and still runs, The Australian Traffic Network today. The primary mission for the drone light shows is for the entertainment and commercial advertising business.

They fully expect to become innovators in this field and develop new software and firmware for flight operations, data and RF (radio frequency) systems for telemetry and control, along with integrating unique battery chemistry and systems to enhance drone light show performance and operation.

iJetpack – HeliJen

· June 27, 2022 ·

Wearable VTOL manufacturer, iJETPACK Aeronautics is inventing the future of transformative flight for the Public Services and Entertainment industries, while educating and inspiring the young and young-at-heart with the exciting possibilities that advanced manufacturing and emerging technologies enable.

Unlike existing aircraft, the 180kg-thrust producing IJ6180 Jetsuit is fully body-controlled and flown more like a motorbike than an aircraft: fast, head-first and close to the ground; making it a more obvious fit with the Australian Motorsport Innovation Precinct than might first be perceived.

As a founding AMIP partner, iJETPACK constructed APAC’s only wVTOL Flight Academy, at SMSP, where it primarily conducts R&D ops and flight training, including concept development for Defence, JetsuitGPTM, air shows, and, official Guinness World Record training for founder “HeliJen” Bewes’ attempt to fly across Australia wearing the IJ6180S Jetsuit.

PLANNED ACTIVITIES:
• Guinness World Record flight-training (tethered- and freeflight)
• VIP Flight Training / VIP Experiences
• Defence briefings and training
• Jetsuit Pilot Licence training (Theory & Flight Training)
• JetsuitGPTM Race-Series – athlete training & development

“AMIP’s partners have been curated exceptionally well. All at the leading-edge of innovation with a personal passion for fast, safe and smart dynamic sports, and we all innovate in distinctly different but highly complementary areas of the industry. Together, we have the potential to radically transform the game on a global scale.”
– Jennie Bewes. CEO

The Australian Motor Heritage Foundation

· May 24, 2022 ·

The Australian Motor Heritage Foundation (AMHF) is a not-for-profit national foundation that is dedicated to preserving motoring heritage in all its forms including cars, motorcycles, heavy vehicles, and aircraft. We are a proud partner of the ARDC and are excited to be associated with and located adjacent to the new Australian Motorsport Innovation Precinct at Sydney Motorsport Park.

AMHF detects, collects, preserves, and catalogs a wide range of motoring reference material including thousands of books, magazines, photographs and film, race programmes and results, technical data, brochures, oral history, artwork and other reference material going back to the turn of the 20th century. Much of this information is rare and irreplaceable. A relational database and digitization of this material is well underway so that it can be accessed for research and educational purposes by all involved in the motoring sector including enthusiasts, Schools, Colleges, Universities, commercial enterprises, and the general public.

Our foundation is manned by a loyal and enthusiastic group of Volunteers from varied backgrounds who have detailed expertise in many areas of our motoring heritage. Many of our Volunteers are members of other car and motorcycle clubs and some are active competitors in historic and other car and motorcycle racing. We are here to help and encourage the ongoing interests of members of all clubs and other motoring enthusiasts of all ages across Australia with information and advice.

“The Australian Motor Heritage Foundation provides a special, accessible way to see and understand the way Australians have over the last 120+ years always been innovators and leaders in the development of motoring and aviation, allowing the opening up our vast country, providing employment, economic growth and enjoyment. Those innovators of the past have been an essential part of our national genius in which we can be very proud.  They took risks and made it possible for us to develop Australia and allow us to achieve the standard of living we enjoy.  Our new innovators are embracing the exciting future as they build on the heritage of enterprise of the past which AMHF strives to preserve and make available to all.”
– Hugh King (Chairman AMHF)
